Robert (Bob) McDonald founded Summit Consulting when he saw the need for experienced, hands-on consultants to help implement measurable process changes in automotive dealerships, manufacturers and distributors. With over 25 years experience in the automotive industry, Bob has held positions such as District Service Manager, Fixed Operations Manager and General Manager of a large dealer group. His varied background has afforded him the opportunity to understand the unique needs of both manufacturers and dealers, and creatively blend those needs into one resulting solution.
As the co-founder of Summit Consulting, Bill has over twenty Years of Consulting, Training and Project Management experience. Working with some of the top manufactures, distributors and auto dealers internationally and domestically throughout North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the Pacific Rim. Prior to Summit Consulting, Bill built a successful career in the retail automotive industry spanning 20 years. He gained valuable management experience in vehicle new and used car sales, fixed operations, service, parts and body shop. In his retail career he managed everything from one department to multiple dealerships.
Patrick has 18 years experience managing technology services including the design and development of software, performance tracking, and customized solutions for dealers and manufacturers. He has managed several major training and development projects for both ADP Dealer Services and in his tenure at Summit Consulting. In addition, he brings 7 years dealership experience as a quality control specialist and dispatcher.
With over thirty years experience in the automotive industry, Vic has held positions such as Master Technician, Team Leader, Collision Center Manager, Director of Operations, and North American Projects Manager. His extensive experience includes technical mechanical expertise, collision center start-up, operations and P&L improvement, financial pro-forma development and analysis, training course development and facilitation, and Wholesale Parts programs development and implementation. Vic has worked with many Dealership groups across the country as well as manufacturers such as Toyota Motor Sales, BMW of North America, and General Motors.
Randy has worked in the automotive and collision repair industry for more than thirty years. His work experience includes job assignments as Senior Consultant and Project Manager for Summit Consulting, Director of Technical Services for Car-O-Liner Company, Corporate Director of Collision Services for AutoNation, as well as assignments with Toyota Motor Sales, USA including technical writing, training, and dealer development. An active participant in the industry, Mr. Profeta is currently the Collision Repair Committee chairperson for the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). He served on the Board of Directors for the National Auto Body Council from 1999 to 2004. He has held positions on the ASE Board of Governors and the Collision Repair Technical Committee for Skills USA (VICA). Additionally, Randy holds ASE certifications as a Master Auto Body and Paint Technician, Collision Estimator, and Automotive Mechanical Technician.
