SCI has been selected by Mercedes-Benz to provide program compliance verification and help implement its Certified Collision Repair Program. The collaborative effort between the two organizations will ensure that certified collision centers meet or exceed Mercedes-Benz’s strict set of repair standards in terms of shop training, customer handling and repair quality.
The Certified Collision Repair program will ensure shops are prepared for and adhere to all repair standards, delivering the highest levels of consistency and service in the customer repair experience. Because Mercedes-Benz vehicles are highly complex, they require continuous training on technology, specialized equipment and repair methodology. Therefore, Mercedes-Benz is developing a strategy specific to the evolving needs of the automobile company’s repair shop network.
SCI will help MBUSA implement the practices necessary for each certified collision repair center to adhere to these standards. SCI will also work side by side with MBUSA regarding program management and communication. Additionally, onsite verification and action planning will ensure that participating shops keep knowledge and skill sets current given continued industry advancements.
